Sumitomo Riko Group aims to realize “Global Excellent Manufacturing Company” which we define as a company that contributes to safety, comfort and the environment of human beings, society, and the Earth. The CSR activities the Sumitomo Riko Group is promoting are value creation-based, designed to meet the expectations of society while contributing to our sustainable growth and development.
With the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Global Compact, and other global initiatives in mind, we have categorized aspects of CSR management into the following three perspectives for the establishment of our CSR Management Policy.

Sumitomo Riko is convinced that sustainable and responsible business increases our ability to innovate and meet the future – adding value to the company.
It allows us to identify risks and opportunities early and opens the change processes we need. Therefore, sustainability is firmly integrated in our corporate strategy and is a key driver of innovation.

Significantly limiting the average global warming to below 2 degrees Celsius is essential for protecting our climate. For this, companies need to operate carbon-neutrally. Sumitomo Riko is aiming for 100% carbon neutrality by 2050 at the latest – with ambitious intermediate targets.
