The history of Sumitomo Riko Europe began 2013 when the Sumitomo Riko Group took over Anvis Group and Dytech Group. The already existing SumiRiko Poland entity was then integrated to the EU group structure. Connecting Japanese and European expertise set the foundations for what was to prove to be a very successful partnership.
The Sumitomo Riko was founded in Japan in 1929. In almost 100 years, the company has developed into one of the leading developers and producers of polymer components and systems.

The Sumitomo Spirit is the value foundation of the Group
Sumitomo Riko Europe has a deep understanding and incorporates perfectly the Sumitomo Spirit, internalizing its principles and making them the ABC’s of its employees’ daily actions.
The Sumitomo Spirit has been refined through the generations for 400 years based on the Founder‘s Precepts „Monjuin Shiigaki,“ which Masatomo Sumitomo, the founder of the Sumitomo family, wrote and handed on to describe how a merchant should conduct business. The basic points of the Sumitomo Spirit have been passed on in the form of the two articles of the Business Principles as management guidelines of Sumitomo companies.

Sumitomo‘s business interests must always be in harmony with the public interest. Sumitomo shall adapt to good times and
bad times but will not pursue immoral business.

The Business Principles Article 1 emphasizes the importance of integrity; that is, being worthy of the trust of others.
不趨浮利 Fusu-furi
“Do not act rashly or carelessly in pursuit of easy gains.”
In its first part, Article 2 speaks of the importance of working proactively, pursuing profit by quickly and appropriately responding to changes in society and not being content with the status quo. At the same time, Article 2 emphasizes the importance of harmonizing business gains with the public interest and scorns reckless or careless actions in pursuit of easy gain. While furi means easy, temporary, or short-term gain, the term also implies unfair profit obtained through dishonest means.
